PURPOSE:To prevent yarn sway as well as melt sticking between fibers and reduce size unevenness, by providing a rectifying plate for rectifying a quench air stream in a state of heat insulated outer periphery of a spinneret on an least a suction side. CONSTITUTION:Quench air 6 is blown off from the side in the direction crossing a filament group 5 just after spinning and sucked through the opposite side. Rectifying plates 3 having 30-200m length are provided in the running direction of the filament group 5 in a state of the outer periphery of the spinneret 4 thermally insulated with a heat insulating material 2' only on the suction side (A) at an interval of 10-50mm or on both sides of the suction side (A) and blow-off side (B) to rectify the quench air 6. The rectifying plates 3 are preferably provided near the filament group 5 to produce high rectifying effects.
