<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a reliable and sufficient air breather function under any conditions including works on slanted ground, while the air breather is compact in the height direction as well as in the diametral direction. <P>SOLUTION: A turn drive device is constituted by mounting a reduction gear 2 containing lubrication oil below a hydraulic or electric motor 1. In the turn drive device, a dry-type brake 16 is disposed between the motor 1 and the reduction gear 2. A brake housing 17 that forms a brake chamber 18 of the brake 16 has a partition wall 22 partitioning a reduction gear chamber 12 and the brake chamber 18, and is provided with a shaft sealing device 23 in a part, which a motor shaft 5 penetrates, of the partition wall 22. The air breather is constituted by using a minute clearance of the shaft sealing device 23 as an air passage that permits the exit/entry of air while limiting the inflow of the lubricating oil. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
