<p>The method involves applying stream (31) of liquid product e.g. liquid oxygen, based on elevated pressure (32) in a liquid state, where the pressure is released from a distillation column system. The product stream is evaporated or pseudo-evaporated under increased pressure in a main heat exchanger (16) and finally as a gaseous pressure product stream (34). Work-performing expansion air stream (30) is provided into expanders (25, 28), where mass flow ratio between compressed feed air stream (7, 8) is 0.38-0.67 and pressure ratio at a cold compressor (113) is about 1.3-2.3. An independent claim is also included for a device for cryogenic decomposition of air.</p> |
