A chip recognition apparatus for a chip mounter is provided to reduce deterioration of the light source by adopting a heat discharging structure for preventing high heat. A chip recognition device(100) for a chip mounter includes an illumination unit(110), an image transferring unit, and a scan camera(130). The illumination unit includes a plurality of lighting units and a heat discharging unit. The plurality of lighting units are installed in the inner side of the illumination unit in order to provide the flash illumination. The heat discharging unit discharges the heat generated in the plurality of the lighting units. The image transferring unit transfers the image of the electronic component generated by the illumination of the illumination unit. The image transfer unit is a beam splitter. The scan camera detects the position error of the electronic component based on the image provided from the image transfer unit. The coaxial lighting unit is formed in the lower part of the illumination unit. |
