<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it easy to visually recognize which icon is associated with which device when a document management application uses any function other than the printing of an external connection device such as a printer or a copying machine. <P>SOLUTION: This document management system includes: icon display parts 404 and 406 for displaying an icon showing a function to be connected to an external connection device; and a device information storage part for storing display information for every identification information to uniquely identify the external connection device. This document management system is configured to compare the identification information of the external connection device associated with the icon with the identification information registered in the device information storage part in the case of displaying the icon, and to, when the coincident identification information is found out, display icons 405 and 407 at the icon display parts 404 and 406 on the basis of the display information stored in the device information storage part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
