[Also in Division F4] An automatic machine for making coffee and other beverages comprises a hollow container 2 of heat storage material such as aluminium having thick walls and a centrally located liquid compartment and an electrical heating element 1 buried in the walls of the compartment, the volume of the heat storage material being equal to or greater than the volumetric capacity of the liquid compartment. As shown applied to a coffee-making machine, an electric resistance element 1 is buried in a heat storage mass 2 of aluminium surrounding a tube 3 closed at top and bottom and supplied near the bottom with cold water, the hot water being drawn off by a pipe 6. The coffee maker is fixed to a support 7 integral with the heat storage material and heated by a loop 8 of the resistance element. A tray 9 for cups is provided also heated by the storage material 2.</p> |
