The crate has a set of frames (1, 2) of parallelepiped section whose internal faces are provided in pairs. A set of flat surfaces (11) transversely extends rearwardly of a set of grooves (10, 20) for guiding, retaining and receiving a set of side edges of a set of partitions. Each partition is provided with a notch (10a) for engaging in a corresponding slot of another partition. A set of lateral edges of the notch has respective tongues abutting against the flat surfaces. An independent claim is also included for a method for assembling a bottle crate.
