<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an underpants type wearing article hardly causing the slip-off of the end of an elastic member during wearing to prevent the deviation of a diaper and hardly feeling discomfort due to embossed parts during wearing to improve a feeling of use. <P>SOLUTION: An underpants type disposable diaper 1A includes a pair of side joint regions 7, 7 formed by disposing a plurality of elastic members 8 from both side edges 6a, 6a of an abdomen side part A to both side edges 6b, 6b of a back side part B, and fusing both side edges 6a, 6a of the abdomen side part A to both side edges 6b, 6b of the back side part B. Each side joint region 7 is formed by arranging, in an X-direction, a plurality of emboss rows each comprising a plurality of embossed parts 70 intermittently arranged in a Y-direction. Each embossed part 70 overlaps with at least one elastic member 8, and the embossed parts 70 adjacent in the X-direction to form the other adjacent emboss rows overlap with each other from the width direction view.
