METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR TOLERATING MULTI CELL UPSETS ON CONTENT ADDRESSABLE MEMORY

PURPOSE: A multi cell errors allowing method in a content addressable memory and apparatus thereof are provided to allow the occurrence of an MCU(Multi Cell Upset) within a single segment of a code word. CONSTITUTION: Input data bits are allocated to data bit segments(S810). The allocated data bits are interleaved to code word segments in order to create data bit code word segments(S820). Data bit code word segments are created. Parity code word segments are created(S830). Code word segments are matched with searching key segments(S840). A matching point between the code word segments and the searching key segment is determined(S850).
