<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical image display device capable of executing volume rendering (VR) display for MR images simply and easily. <P>SOLUTION: The medical image display device includes an image storing means for storing MR images obtained from an MRI device and medical images obtained from a medical image acquisition device. A readout means reads out the medical imaging and an MR imaging corresponding to it from the image storing means. The first area extraction means extracts an area in the image read out from the readout means. The second area identifying means identifies the part area in the MR image based on the position information about the position which is extracted by the first area extraction means. A setting means sets the setting information based on the pixel value of the part area identified by the second area extraction means. A generation means generates a volume rendering image of the MR image based on the setting information of the opacity.
