<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multiple transmitting head coil of a module type, used in a therapy of irritation of depths in a brain of patient. <P>SOLUTION: The head coil includes a mounting frame for mounting it in stereotactic head frame of a patient. An integrated MR stereotactic positioning phantom is equipped as a part of a coil structure mounting an MR/CT adaptability standard for correlating pictures before, during and after an operation. The frame supports a pair of module type removable coil elements of an array type transceiver, which are connected to a pair of RE power amplifiers directly driving the coil elements. A control system containing a suitable software produces a desired RF magnetic field, in which all coil elements are equipped in suitable positions and one or more coil elements are removed in order to access to a patient for inserting DBS lead line by controlling signals to the coil elements. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
