A transmitter configured to transmit data to a receiver using first and second antennas, comprising: a retransmission frame generation means for allocating both of first retransmission data corresponding to first data transmitted from the first antenna and second retransmission data corresponding to second data transmitted from the second antenna to slots in a retransmission frame for the first antenna, based on information regarding propagation paths for the first and second antennas obtained from the receiver; and a transmission means for transmitting the retransmission frame including the first and second retransmission data to the receiver by using the first antenna without using the second antenna.
