<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an adhesive from going out of position, covering a terminal part, and consequently causing a connection failure in an organic EL display unit in which a device substrate with an organic EL layer formed thereon is sealed by a sealing substrate through the adhesive. <P>SOLUTION: The organic EL display unit comprises: a device substrate 10 made of glass and having a terminal part 90 formed thereon, an organic EL device 30 formed in a display area of the device substrate 10, and a moistureproof film 17 formed to cover the organic EL device 30; a sealing substrate 20 glued to an area of the device substrate 10 except that for the terminal part 90 with an adhesive 40; a first adhesive stopper 50 formed on the sealing substrate 20 for preventing the adhesive 40 from going out of position and covering the terminal part 90 at the time of gluing the sealing substrate 20 to the device substrate 10; and a second adhesive stopper 60 formed on the device substrate 10 to be lower than the first adhesive stopper 50 in height as insurance against the adhesive 40 further going out beyond the first adhesive stopper 50, by which the adhesive 40 can be prevented from going out of position, and covering the terminal part 90. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
