PURPOSE: A hearth roll is provided to increase the rotation speed of a sleeve by eliminating the clearance between the sleeve and a roll flange and to minimize the generation of noise when the sleeve is rotated. CONSTITUTION: A hearth roll comprises a sleeve(10), roll flanges(20,22), drive and driven shafts(30,32), a support bar(40), a stopper member(42), and an elastic member(44). The roll flanges are formed in both ends of the sleeve and support the sleeve. The drive and driven shafts are installed in the roll flanges. The support bar is connected to the inner side of one roll flange and is extended to the outside through the sleeve and the other roll flange. The stopper member is installed in the outer front end of the support bar. The elastic member is installed between the stopper member and the drive shaft.
