PURPOSE: An expansion valve of an air conditioner for a vehicle is provided to function as an ejector by the installation of a connection unit with a suction path in the same direction as an outlet of a first flow path. CONSTITUTION: An expansion valve of an air conditioner for a vehicle comprises a main body, a valve body(36), a diaphragm, and a rod(35). The main body comprises a first flow path(32) and a second fluid path(33). The first flow path comprises a throttling flow path(38) between an inlet and an outlet(32b). Refrigerant, discharged from the evaporator, flows through the second fluid path. The valve body controls the flow rate of the refrigerant passing through a cross flow path. The diaphragm is displaced according to the temperature change of the refrigerant flowing in the second fluid path. The rod operates the valve body according to the displacement of the diaphragm. A connecting hole(39) is formed on the main body. The communicating hole is formed in the opposite side of the outlet in the same direction as the outlet. A connection unit(40) with an inflow path(42) is installed in the connection hole.
