<p>The photocatalytic reactor comprises a catalytic layer (4), a reaction chamber (2) intended to receive the layer, and a holding unit arranged at a first side of the catalytic layer for holding the other side of the catalytic layer to be in contact with inner walls of the reaction chamber. The holding unit is configured to apply pressure on the catalytic layer to hold the inner walls of the reaction chamber. The holding unit applies pressure on the catalytic layer when it is in a deployed position and does not apply pressure on the catalytic layer when it in a retracted position. The photocatalytic reactor comprises a catalytic layer (4), a reaction chamber (2) intended to receive the layer, and a holding unit arranged at a first side of the catalytic layer for holding the other side of the catalytic layer to be in contact with inner walls of the reaction chamber. The holding unit is configured to apply pressure on the catalytic layer to hold the inner walls of the reaction chamber. The holding unit comprises a locking unit to maintain the holding unit in the retracted position, an elastically deformable member, a pair of hooks and a locking element to cooperate with the hooks, where the locking unit is arranged on a clamp (7), which is mounted on a framework (10).
