A pair of pruning shears comprises a pair of blades 1, 2 connected by a pivot bolt 4 the axis of which is out of the normal to the general plane of a pair of handles 6, the pivot bolt having a head 11 that is located in a recess 12 in the underside of the blade 3. The blades 1, 2 are provided with tangs 5 secured in flattened portions 15 of the handles and bent at 17 in order to bring the axis of the pivot bolt 4 out of normal to the plane of the handles. Stop-pins 14 are fitted in the blades in order to limit their travel. The ends 18 of each handle are split and provided with a screw clip 19 so that extension handles can be fitted. |
