PURPOSE: A seat and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to manufacture seats at reduced failure rate with a simple method of pressing a support plate and a cushion material. CONSTITUTION: A seat manufacturing method is as follows. A mold(10) is arranged and a cavity(12) of the mold is opened upward. An outer shell(20) is installed inside the cavity of the mold and supported with a supporting unit. An adhesive is spread on the inner surface of the outer shell or the outer surface of a block-type cushion material(30). The block-type cushion material is placed on the upper side of the outer shell inside the cavity of the mold. A supporting plate(40) is set on the cushion material. The supporting plate and the cushion material are pressed together so that the cushion material is formed and the outer shell is attached to the outer surface of the cushion material by the adhesive. The outer shell is fixed with a finish fixing member to surround the rear side of the supporting plate.
