PURPOSE: A burr removal apparatus for a slab is provided to prevent damage to a rolling device by completely remove burrs from a slab. CONSTITUTION: A burr removal apparatus for a slab comprises a cutting unit(101) and a drive unit(102). The cutting unit is formed in a rectangular parallelepiped shape and is moved along the width direction of a slab to remove burrs from the slab. The drive unit is connected to the cutting unit and moves the cutting unit. The drive unit comprises a servo motor(121) and a moving screw(123). The servo motor generates driving force for moving the cutting unit. The moving screw connects the cutting unit and the servo motor and is rotated by receiving the driving force from the servo motor.
