<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and method for producing an improved light-emitting diode (LED) spotlight. <P>SOLUTION: One or more layers of LEDs shine light into an array of elliptical reflectors. Each elliptical reflector has an LED at one focal point and shares the second focal point with a larger parabolic reflector 36 that collimates the light.
