The automatic bonding jig for the slide halves has a horizontal feed for the bottom half while the upper half is held in a gravity pivoted lever. The leading edge of the lower half engages a tag under the lever and lifts it to allow the bottom half to locate under the top half. The two halves are then slid together towards the pivot end of the lever under increasing force from the lever to hold them together for the bonding cement to act. |
