<p>Disclosed is a micro combined heat and power (mCHP) generation system 1 comprising a burner 4 and an internal combustion engine (ICE) 2 used to power a generator 3. The mCHP has a first heat exchanger, which may be in the form of a water conduit 11 passing through an oil sump 22, to exchange heat between the ICE and/or generator and a working fluid and a second heat exchanger 14 to exchange heat between the burner exhaust system and the working fluid. A heat exchanger is also provided to transfer heat from the engine exhaust system to the working fluid. The working fluid may be water in a central heating system 7.</p> |
