METHOD AND BASE STATION FOR PROCESSING CELL ACTIVATION

The embodiments of the present invention provide a method and base station for processing cell activation. The method includes the following steps: monitoring the access channel of a macro network while a femto cell is idle (101); switching the femto cell to activation state when access information transmitted from a terminal to the macro base station through the access channel of macro network is detected (102). The base station includes an access module, for monitoring the access channel of a macro network while a femto cell is idle; and a processing module, for switching the femto cell to activation state when access information transmitted from a terminal to the macro base station through the access channel of macro network is detected by the access module. Comparing with the method in the prior art that detection is failed due to interference noise affection, the embodiments realize activating a femto cell effectively and accurately.
