The present invention relates to a method for coating in particular transparent polycarbonate substrates, a transparent coating agent comprising at least one radiation-curable binder (A) and/or reactive diluent (C), nanoparticles (B), possibly solvents, and at least one light stabilizer (L), being applied to a polycarbonate substrate, characterized in that the coating agent contains at least one light stabilizer (L), which on average contains at least one ethylenically unsaturated group bonded by means of a urethane group per molecule. The present invention further relates to the coating agent used in said method and the coated polycarbonate substrates obtained by the method and the use thereof.
