PURPOSE:To contrive enhancement in the resistance of a ticket face to an automatic ticket-examining gate and reduce effects of water, chemicals, plasticizers or the like, by providing a special protective layer on a thermal color forming layer. CONSTITUTION:The thermal color forming layer comprising a diazo compound, a coupler, a thermoplastic substance and a binder as main constituents is provided on the surface of a base, and the protective layer is provided thereon. The protective layer has a two-layer structure consisting of the first layer comprising polyvinyl alcohol and the second layer comprising a fluoro resin. With the first and second protective layers provided on the color forming layer, a thermal recording layer having a markedly enhanced gate resistance and excellent resistance to water, chemicals, plasticizers or the like can be obtained. The polyvinyl alcohol layer functions as a barrier layer for the color forming layer and the second protective layer, which is a resin layer provided by using a solvent and comprising the fluororesin as a main constituent. |
