<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal vapor discharge lamp and a luminaire that hardly have an appearance defect due to a charging defect of an adhesive. <P>SOLUTION: In the metal vapor discharge lamp 10, an inner tube 200 which has a pinch seal part 201 at one end side and in which a discharge tube 100 is arranged is housed in a space surrounded with a ferrule 400 and an outer tube 300, and the pinch seal part 201 of the inner tube 200 and the outer tube 300 are joined together with an adhesive 600. A collar member 500 having an outer peripheral shape along an inner peripheral surface shape of the outer tube 300 is fitted externally onto the pinch seal part 201, and the adhesive 600 is cured while dammed by the collar member 500 on the side of the ferrule 400 with respect to the collar member 500 in the outer tube 300. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
