<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a calculation device and a calculation method capable of improving the speed of calculation performed on a calculator using many hardware resources. <P>SOLUTION: A calculation device of the present invention includes, in an arithmetic unit for performing arithmetic computations of plural input numerical values using polynomials: numerical value reading means for reading the plural input numerical values; arithmetic type reading means for reading a type of a basic arithmetic for the input numerical value; storage means for holding plural arithmetic binary sets; arithmetic processing means for receiving each of the plural input numerical values and the type of the basic arithmetic as plural vectors composed of binaries, and processing them with wired logic composed of the arithmetic binary sets; and output means for outputting an arithmetic result.
