<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an interstage seal system which prevents reduction of effectiveness of a seal due to thermal stress, and in which the seal reduces fluid leakage between a plurality of turbine stages. <P>SOLUTION: A system includes a multi-stage turbine including a first turbine stage 34 including a first wheel 38A having multiple first slots 52A circumferentially spaced, and multiple first blade segments each coupled to the multiple first slots. The multi-stage turbine also includes a one-piece interstage seal 60 extending axially between the first and second turbine stages, wherein the interstage seal comprises a first radial support 62A coupled to the first wheel and a second radial support 62B coupled to the second wheel, and the interstage seal extends circumferentially across at least two of multiple first slots 52A or at least two of multiple second slots 52B. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
