A measurement arrangement (1) for ascertaining an analyte concentration in a measurement medium (M) comprises a three-electrode arrangement with a working electrode (WE), a reference electrode (RE) and a counter electrode (CE), wherein the working electrode comprises an analyte-insensitive redox mediator (4) and the reference electrode comprises a pH-sensitive electrode. The counter electrode can be formed from an inert, electrically conductive material. The measurement arrangement can be configured to set a pre-specified setpoint voltage between the working electrode and the reference electrode and to ascertain the current that flows in that case through the measurement medium between the counter electrode and the working electrode.
