<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an analog television broadcast signal receiver which can spread the range in which the reception level of a broadcast signal can be accurately calculated. <P>SOLUTION: An analog television broadcast signal receiver comprises an AGC amplifier to adjust automatically gains of a broadcast signal so that the oscillation of the received broadcast signal is stable and a micro computer. The AGC amplifier outputs AGC voltage according to the adjusted gains. The micro computer calculates the reception level based on the AGC voltage (S3) when the AGC voltage is less than the threshold value (Yes in S1), and calculates the reception level based on the S/N ratio of a color bar video signal included in the broadcast signal (S5) when the AGC voltage is no less than the threshold value (No in S1). Thus, even when the reception level is reduced to satiate the gains and the reception level cannot be calculated accurately from the gains, the reception level can be calculated from the S/N ratio, so the reception level can be calculated accurately. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
