<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seat slide position detection device for a vehicle that prevents foreign materials from entering between a sensor detection surface and part to be detected of a position sensor. <P>SOLUTION: The part 36a to be detected is arranged on a -B side of a lower rail 25 and provided on a longitudinal wall 36 extending along a -B sidewall 27b of the lower rail 25 to a +H side. The position sensor 40 is arranged on a -B side of an upper rail and on a +B side viewing from the longitudinal wall 36.
