<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water jacket spacer capable of fixedly holding a water jacket spacer in a desired stable state while suppressing load to a cylinder block, and a cylinder block including the water jacket spacer. <P>SOLUTION: Apparent specific gravity of the water jacket spacer 20 mounted in a water jacket 10 of the cylinder block 1 for controlling a flow rate of cooling water in the water jacket 10 is set to be approximately equal to specific gravity of the cooling water. The water jacket 20 having the apparent specific gravity approximately equal to the specific gravity of the cooling water is mounted in the water jacket 10 formed around an outer circumference of a cylinder bore wall 5 and sandwiched by relatively small pressurizing force by an inner peripheral surface 13 and an outer peripheral surface 14 of the water jacket 10, whereby the water jacket spacer 20 can be held in a stable state and the load to the cylinder block 1 can be suppressed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
