<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic video image stabilization technology for an image pickup device and a video device. <P>SOLUTION: The technology includes determining motion statistics and space statistics about an individual macroblock of a frame, and determining a global motion vector about the frame on the basis of the respective statistics of the macroblock. In one embodiment, a method for performing electronic image stabilization includes performing space prediction of each of a plurality of macroblocks in the frame of an image to acquire the space statistics about each macroblock, performing motion prediction about each of the plurality of macroblocks to acquire the motion statistics about each macroblock, integrating the space statistics and the motion statistics of each macroblock to determine the global motion vector about the frame, and offsetting the image with respect to a reference window according to the global motion vector. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
