<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance on-snow performance and on-ice performance and noise resistance performance. <P>SOLUTION: In the pneumatic tire 1, shoulder blocks 5A sectioned by a pair of shoulder longitudinal grooves 3A extending in a tire peripheral direction in the side nearest to tread grounding end 2t and shoulder lateral grooves 4A extending between the tread grounding end 2t and the shoulder longitudinal grooves 3A are arranged in a tire peripheral direction while being spaced apart from each other in the tread part 2. In the tread part 2, each of both the sides of the tire equator C is formed by arranging pitch standard lines 11 passing intersection points of the shoulder longitudinal grooves 3A and fringes 4At in one side of the tire peripheral direction of the shoulder lateral grooves 4A and perpendicularly intersecting the tire equator face CP and a plurality of standard pitch elements 12 surrounded by the tread grounding ends 2t and the tire equator C in the tire peripheral direction. The standard pitch elements 12 include at least two kinds with different lengths in the tire peripheral direction.
