PURPOSE:To facilitate the adjustment of a tube axis by providing a central axis adjusting device capable of dividing the midst of a cylindrical body allowing an electron beam to pass therethrough and adjusting the central axis of each cylindrical body. CONSTITUTION:A central axis adjusting device 39 is provided for dividing the midst of a cylindrical body allowing an electron beam to pass therethrough, e.g., between a cavity 28 and a cavity 29 and fine adjusting the central axis of the respective cavities 28, 29 and a drift tube 31. Namely, thin airtight sealing metal rings 52, 53 L-shaped in their cross areas are axially protruded on the respective end parts of cavity outer peripheral walls 50, 51, and joinned by edge arcing to keep airtightness. Further, a pair of flanges 55, 56 are provided so as to hold the rings 52, 53, and plural screws 57 and nuts 58-61 for adjusting mutual distance therebetween are pvodided in the circumferential direction thereof. And, by fixing the divided cylindrical bodies by the screws 57 and nuts 58- 61 after adjusting displacement between the central axes C1-C2 of said bodies, the displacment between the central axes C1-C2 can be avoided. |
