PURPOSE: An apparatus for detecting the disconnection position of a long distance cable is provided to accurately and rapidly detect a disconnection position using an auxiliary cable. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for detecting the disconnection position of a long distance cable arranges an auxiliary cable(20) by section. The auxiliary cable consists of a main line(21) and a plurality of detection lines(23) in a main cable(10). An apparatus for detecting the disconnection position detects at least one or more of resistance, voltage, and current between the detection line and the main line and checks the section disconnection position of the auxiliary cable.
