Discloses an isolated bacteriocin peptide produced by lactic acid bacterium strain Enterococcus faecalis (deposit ID: NRRL B-30645). Further discloses the use of a lactic acid bacterial strain or bacterocin in the production of a non-human animal feed-stuff. The animal feed-stuff is designed to reduce levels of colonisation of at least one target bacteria in the animal.
