Disclosed are: a laminate material which can be used as a container for a secondary battery or an exterior material for the container and has excellent vibration resistance; and a container for a secondary battery, which comprises the laminate material. Specifically disclosed is a laminate material which comprises, laminated sequentially in this order, (A) a film comprising polyethylene terephthalate, polyethylene naphthalate, polylactic acid or a para-type aramid, (B) a nylon-6 film, (C) an aluminum foil and (D) a polypropylene film, and which is characterized in that the component (A) is a biaxially oriented film, each of the components (B) and (D) is a non-oriented film, a modified polyolefin layer is arranged between the components (C) and (D), and the component (D) has a Young's modulus of 500 MPa or less.
