<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for reducing black color contained in a digital image which uses no or very little black color ink (or black color toner) when printing the digital image. <P>SOLUTION: A method for reducing black color contained in a digital image includes steps (A) and (B) for processing an original digital image by a computer to obtain a converted digital image with reduced or no black color. The step (A) is to read the original digital image including P-pieces of original pixels (3≥P≥9,000,000,000), where each of the original pixels includes three items of color information RGB where R is a red value, G is a green value, and B is a blue value, and the following inequality is satisfied: 0≥R≥F, 0≥G≥F, 0≥B≥F, 2<SP POS="POST">4</SP>-1≥F≥2<SP POS="POST">32</SP>-1. The step (B) is to convert each pixel of the P-pieces of original pixels to a corresponding pixel of P-pieces of converted pixels, where each of the converted pixels includes three items of color information R'G'B' where R' is a red value, G' is a green value, and B' is a blue value, and the following inequality is satisfied: 0≥R'≥F, 0≥G'≥F, 0≥B'≥F. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
