COLORECTAL CANCER MARKER VITRONECTIN AND METHOD FOR ANALYZING VITRONECTIN CONCENTRATION IN BLOOD SAMPLE

Disclosed are: a presence diagnosis marker which can be actually used in clinical practice and is used for the purpose of detecting colorectal cancer; and a disease state marker which is capable of complementing CEA or CA19-9. Specifically disclosed is vitronectin which is used as a disease state marker, presence diagnosis marker or prognostic prediction marker for colorectal cancer. Also specifically disclosed is a method for analyzing the vitronectin concentration in a blood sample. In the method, a measured value of vitronectin is compared with the reference value thereof. Preferably, a conventional colorectal cancer marker such as a carcinoembryonic antigen or CA19-9 is used in combination with vitronectin.
