An information providing device pre-stores content associated with candidate characteristic elements in an image. Moreover, the information providing device is configured to compare characteristic elements identified in the current image with characteristic elements identified in prior images (in the past) and to identify the differences therebetween, obtain content associated with the characteristic elements related to said differences, and display said content on a display.
