<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing and drying machine which reduces moisture condensation without increase in noise and in power consumption. <P>SOLUTION: A washing and drying machine according to an embodiment includes a rotary tub, a passage forming member, a heat pump unit, an air discharge part and a discharged air cooling part. The rotary tub rotates about an axis. The passage forming member forms a circulation passage through which air is circulated via the rotary tub. The heat pump unit is provided in the circulation passage, and has a cooler for cooling the air flowing through the circulation passage and a radiator for heating the air which has passed through the cooler. The air discharge part is provided in the passage forming member on the side which is nearer to the rotary tub than the cooler is in the air circulation direction in the circulation passage, and discharges part of the air circulated through the circulation passage to the outside from the circulation passage.
