The invention relates to a device for connecting a wear part to the support thereof on material-handling devices for heavy-construction machinery. The invention is characterised in that a key (C) is axially aligned with a sleeve (F) which is disposed in part of an adapter (A). According to the invention, the key is equipped with an end part (C2), known as the key foot, and a key head (C5) which are provided on either side of a body (C1). The key head is arranged with one part (C5) forming an off-centre projection. The key foot comprises anchoring means that can temporarily penetrate the elastically-deformable sleeve. As the key rotates, it becomes misaligned with the initial axis thereof and is clamped tightly either in the sleeve by means of anchoring or against the metal parts of the prong and of the adapter on different support areas. |
