<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric fan having a simple structure to reduce windage loss caused by a rotor, while maintaining the efficiency of cooling armature coils. <P>SOLUTION: The electric fan 2 includes a motor unit 16 and a fan unit 35, introduces an air flow discharged from a centrifugal fan 29 into a motor case 3 through a diffuser 25, and cools the rotor 8. In the electric fan, the rotor 8 includes: a rotation shaft 10; a rotor core 11 mounted to the rotation shaft 10 and formed with slots 15 in the outer periphery; and the armature coils 12 disposed in the slots 15. Further, the rotor has coil ends 17 exposing the armature coils 12 from the slots 15, on both end sides in the axial direction of the rotor core 11, and includes a ring cover 20 for covering the outer periphery of the coil end 17. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
