<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanism which realizes purposes of accelerating a process of completion of video recording and speedy recovery of index information in occurrence of a fault. <P>SOLUTION: A video recording device comprises: an encoding unit 601 which encodes an externally inputted video signal by an interframe compression system; a video writing unit 602 for recording the video data encoded by the encoding unit 601 on a recording medium 610 as a video file 611; an index recording unit 603 which prepares index information of the video data encoded by the encoding unit 601 and records the same on the recording medium 610 as an index file 612; and an index composition unit 604 which integrally composes the video file 611 and the index file 612 after the video file 611 and the index file 612 are recorded on the recording medium 610. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
