<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flat cable having excellent wear resistance and excellent connection workability of an object such as a sensor to an enclosure. <P>SOLUTION: The flat cable comprises a plurality of insulated wires 1 in which central conductors 4 are insulation coated with polyolefin resin and an outer covering 2 formed by extrusion coating around the plurality of insulated wires 1 arranged in parallel with resin containing polyurethane. In the circumference surface of the outer covering 2, the portion along the direction of the parallel arrangement of the insulated wires 1 is smooth. The resin is filled to form the outer covering 2 around the insulated wires 1. The outer covering 2 comprises a cross-linked polymer of resin composition mainly composed of mixture of thermoplastic polyurethane elastomer and thermoplastic polyester elastomer and includes 3 to 35 pts.wt. of metal hydroxide or nitrogen containing flame retardant per 100 pts.wt. of the cross-linked polymer. The weight ratio between the thermoplastic polyurethane elastomer and the thermoplastic polyester elastomer is in the range of 20/80 to 80/20. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
