<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simply structured electric motor with toroidal windings which allows efficient cooling of coils. <P>SOLUTION: The motor comprises: a stator 21 having a stator core 41 formed circularly and a coil 20 made of conducting wires 35 which are wound in a toroidal shape around the stator core 41 through an insulator 50; and a rotor 22 rotatably placed inside the stator 21 in a radial direction. Refrigerant can be supplied to the outside in the radial direction from the rotor 22 toward the stator 21. Between the adjacent coils 20 and on an end surface in an axis direction of the stator 21, guide plates 80 are provided. The guide plates 80 stand in the axis direction and extend in a circumferential direction of the stator 21 to guide the supplied refrigerant toward the coils 20. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
