PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the driving capability of a unit shift registers for relief and to make its operation fast with respect to a scanning line-driving circuit of the electro-optical device.SOLUTION: The unit register SRBfor relief is arranged on the opposite side from a normal unit shift register SR across a liquid crystal array portion 10. The unit register SRBfor relief receives a gate line driving signal Gfor a gate line two rows ahead thereof, and activates a gate line driving signal Gk that the unit register SRBfor relief itself outputs, in synchronism with a clock signal for activation two horizontal periods after the activation. |
