PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively utilize peanut germ.SOLUTION: There are disclosed a compound represented by formula (I) or a salt thereof, an anti-inflammatory agent or an inflammatory cytokine production inhibitor, and a method for producing the compound, wherein the anti-inflammatory agent or the inflammatory cytokine production inhibitor contains the compound, or a fragment or a purified product thereof produced by loading an extract of peanut germ to an absorbing chromatography, removing fragments having passed through the column and eluted with water, and subsequently eluted with 40-100% lower alcohol. |
