PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus such as a copying machine, a facsimile machine and a printer for adjusting an image process condition according to image area ratio and an image forming method capable of carrying out good image formation.SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus 100 and the image forming method use a basic value setting means 91 for determining a basic value for an image process condition based on the area ratio of an image to be formed and a correction value calculation means 91 for calculating a correction value obtained by correcting the basic value determined by the basic value setting means 91 according to at least the image pattern and carry out image formation by using the correction value calculated by the correction value calculation means 91. |
